Somatic Consent, Embodiment & Conscious Relating | Weekend Immersion
Come Home to Your Body. Reclaim Your Voice. Transform Your Relationships.
Do you long for deeper connection â with yourself, with others, and with life?
Yet perhaps you notice that beneath that longing, there is often confusion and disempowerment.
Why do I say yes when I mean no?
Why do I shut down, overgive, or hold back?
Why do some relationships feel charged, unclear, or exhausting â even when I deeply care?
These patterns donât come from a lack of intelligence.
They come from a disconnection from the body.
This Training Is an Invitation to Return
This immersive and experiential weekend is a space to slow down, listen, and reconnect with the part of you that already knows:
What feels right
What doesnât feel right
Where your boundaries and limits are
What you truly want
Through a powerful blend of somatic practice, nervous system education, conscious communication, and trauma-informed relational work, youâll begin to recognise your internal signals â and learn how to respond to them with clarity, choice, and integrity.
This is not just something you learn conceptually.
Itâs something you experience, practise, and embody in real time.
What Makes This Work Different
This experiential training teaches you how to understand your personal power and power dynamics, and how to actually notice, feel and live them in your body.
This work bridges the gap between conceptual understanding and embodiment. It teaches the skills required to get out of the head and into the body.
We donât just talk about:
~ boundaries, limits and desires
~ somatic embodiment
~ consent
~ intimacy
~ communication
~ conscious relating
~ consensual touch
You will practise them â safely, gradually, and with full choice â inside a carefully held, trauma-informed space.
What youâll learn:
~ Nervous system education including the Polyvagul Theory, and how your social engagement system works (survival versus thriving; how to get out of survival and back to thriving).
~ How to recognise your bodyâs signals (before your mind overrides them)
~ How to cultivate the presence required for embodied intimacy (and not be distracted by noisy thoughts)
~ The difference between a conditioned response and an authentic choice (and why this is so important for being in integrity with yourself and others)
~ How to access a clear, grounded âyesâ and ânoâ
~ How to communicate desires, limits, and boundaries with honesty, respect, integrity and care
~ How to stay present in moments that would usually trigger shutdown, reactivity, or people-pleasing
~ Non-violent communication skills so you can relate your truth with compassion
~ How to navigate intimacy and power dynamics with awareness, respect and responsibility
~ When relating becomes unhealthy/harmful (and when/how to step away)
The Science Behind the Work
This training also explores the neurobiology of connection and touch.
Human beings are wired for connection.
Our nervous systems respond directly to contact, proximity, and relational cues.
When touch is:
clear
consensual
attuned
âŚit can support:
nervous system regulation
the release of oxytocin (the bonding hormone)
increased trust and safety
emotional healing and integration
However when touch is unclear, pressured, or mis-attuned â even subtly â it can reinforce stress, confusion, disconnection or trauma.
This is why consent, communication, and self-awareness are not optional â they are essential.
Youâll learn how to engage with touch and connection in a way that is:
safe
respectful
ethical
empowering
deeply attuned
NOTE: In this training platonic consensual touch practices are invited as an exercise to notice yourself and how you feel. All exercises are an invitation and itâs important to know that you are still fully participating even if you choose to say no to all exercises that involve touch. Whatâs most important is you embodying your empowered choice and honouring what feels right for you in your body.
There is no nudity or sexual touch in this level one training.
Why This Work Matters
âUntil you make the unconscious conscious, it will lead your life and you will call it fateâ
â Carl Jung
Most people are living from patterns they didnât consciously choose.
Conditioning â from family, culture, and past experiences â shapes:
~ how you relate
~ how you respond to drama
~ what you believe is allowed
~ what feels safe or unsafe
~ how you express (or suppress) yourself
~ your familiarity with connection, intimacy and touch
~ if touch is intimidating/confusing due to touch deprivation, or if touch has been sexualised
Without awareness, these patterns quietly run your life and your relationships.
You adapt.
You ignore your inner authority and override yourself.
You try to get it right.
You live from the head instead of from your body.
Over time, this creates:
~ inner conflict
~ disempowerment
~ disconnection from your needs and truth
~ difficulty in relationships
~ fatigue and exhaustion
~ loss of eros, libido and life-force
Embodiment changes this.
When you learn to notice, feel and track what is happening inside you, in real time, something profound becomes possible:
You gain choice.
Choice to pause
Choice to respond instead of react
Choice to speak
Choice to not abandon yourself
This is where authentic boundaries, intimacy, and self-trust begin.
This Work Develops the foundations for:
Somatic Awareness & Interoception â the ability to notice, feel and sense what is happening inside you
Meta-cognition and Self-awareness in real time â noticing thoughts, emotions, and reactions as they arise
Emotional maturity â the capacity to stay present with yourself and others
Relational intelligence â understanding dynamics, patterns, and impact
Intimacy literacy – the skills required for authentic intimacy
Together, these allow you to interrupt unconscious patterns and create new ways of being.
The Result:
When you become more embodied:
~ your âyesâ becomes true
~ your ânoâ becomes clear
~ your communication becomes honest
~ you feel more in integrity (with self and others)
~ your relationships become more authentic
~ your connection to self becomes stable
Boundaries stop feeling like defence or barriers â
and start becoming pathways to deeper connection.
Who This Is For
This training is for those who feel ready to take responsibility for their experience and to relate to themselves and others in a more conscious, honest, and embodied way.
You may recognise yourself here if you:
~ Feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, overgiving, or holding back
~ Want to feel more confident expressing your needs, desires, and boundaries
~ Long for deeper, more authentic connection and intimacy
~ Are curious about conscious touch, consent, and embodied relating
~ Work with others (therapy, coaching, bodywork, manager/leader) and want trauma-informed, ethical tools (so youâre not serving others from your own shadow)
~ Want to feel more grounded, alive, and connected to your body
No prior experience is needed â only a willingness to explore.
Who This Is Not For
This space may not be the right fit if you:
~ Are looking for purely theoretical learning without personal participation
~ Are unwilling to learn how to take responsibility for your own boundaries, communication, and choices
~ Want others to change without being willing to look at your own patterns
~ Are not open to working with the body as part of personal growth
~ Are desiring to be rescued or fixed by someone else
~ Are seeking intimacy or touch without a foundation of consent, awareness, and mutual respect
This is a space of integrity, respectful relating, responsibility, and self-leadership.
Important Considerations:
This training offers a deep, experiential process. While it can be profoundly therapeutic, it is not a substitute for psychotherapy, counselling, or medical support.
At times, this work may bring unconscious patterns, emotions, or past experiences into awareness. Participants are asked to take full responsibility for their own wellbeing and to engage at a pace that feels appropriate for them.
This training is not suitable for those currently experiencing acute mental health challenges, including active trauma overwhelm, severe emotional distress, or symptoms such as psychosis or delusion.
If you are currently navigating significant psychological or emotional challenges, or have a history of complex trauma, it is strongly recommended that you are also supported by a qualified therapist or healthcare professional while engaging in this work.
By choosing to participate, you acknowledge that you have the internal and external support needed to meet yourself in this process. If you need to discuss this more, please reach out to me directly: info@teerthaordish.com
